Ram-air inflation forces the parafoil into a classic wing cross-section. Parafoils are most commonly constructed out of ripstop nylon. Parafoil kites are sparless with no sticks to break. They are also very stable flyers. Dual line parafoil kites are for the more adventureous of us that like control and power and can pull kite laundry. Quad line parafoil kites not dissimilar to other parafoils, but have their bridle legs brought together in four groups, which again are controlled by two handles. Large examples are used in the growing sports of kite-buggying, kite-boarding and kite-surfing. They have the advantage over two line kites in this application in that the pull can be controlled by tilting both handles together. Parafoils are also great kayaking kites. The Premier 7.5 parafoil is also an ideal choice for kite kayaking as well as sled kites. Parafoils see wide use in a variety of windsports such as kite flying, powered parachutes, paragliding, wingsuit flying and skydiving. The worlds largest kite is a parafoil-variant.
