Our Hydra 300 & 350 Kites are the most in-demand kites in the world today. So much so that our production facilities have not been able to keep up with the demand since last February, 2011. To be clear, please know that the Hydra's are almost the same size, with the difference being that the 300 is designed for a body weight of up to 210 lbs. and the 350 for any one weighing over 210 lbs. Otherwise they are the same. The Hydra is the world's first and only water relaunchable trainer foil. Extremely stable and easy-to-fly, the closed cell ram-air foil has no bladders to inflate or replace, and yes, it does float on water. It has a 3rd line for maximum safety and a leash line for use as a "shock absorber." Without a doubt the best kite for surf training, body-dragging or buggying.

300 vs 350: The 300 has a wind range of 4 - 29 mph while the 350's range is 4 - 21 mph. In 16 mph winds, the pull for both is over 200 lbs. I am not sure of the prevailing winds where you are, but if they are in the 12 - 16 mph, either the 300 or the 350 would be a handful for any one weighing under 200 lbs. and perfect for any one 200 -220 lbs. If you are over 220 lbs., then you could handle the 350 in winds up to 18 - 21 mph but, more wind than that will have you air-borne if you can hang on.
